The National Portrait Gallery is celebrating the very best of black British celebs

Featuring the likes of comedian Sir Lenny Henry, singer Tinie Tempah and athlete Denise Lewis, as well as former children’s laureate Malorie Blackman, Britain’s first black Archbishop, John Sentamu, Lord Bill Morris and the first black leader of a major trade union, John Sentamu, the exhibition will open in November 2018.

Photographer Simon Frederick originally took the pics for a BBC Two documentary, Black is the New Black, but donated the whole portfolio to the gallery.
